A Little About Me

Since 2006 I have spent all my time asking questions, training, and learning about how dogs work. I began shadow teaching in 2007 and then moved to full instructing by 2010. In 2014 I opened my own dog training, daycare and boarding facility which has kept me busy ever since. My primary passion has always been training and I have spent years teaching classes, helping in one on one settings, and growing my board and train programs.

My backround includes fostering dogs, working in the SPCA, a boarding kennel, being a kennel club member and instructor, as well as numerous achievements with my own dogs. I have owned mixed breeds, American Pit Bull Terriers, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, and currently own a Frenchie, a Caucasian Ovcharka, a Rat Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and multiple law enforcement working prospects. Dogs have been my whole life and will continue to be my focus in the future. A dog nerd through and through.

I have titled my own dogs in CKC Conformation, CKC Obedience, CKC Rally Obedience, CARO Rally Obedience, AAC Agility, SDDA Detection, CGN, and also have a working dog breeding and raising program that has 14+ dogs successfully working in police departments across Canada and the USA. My two daughters have also accomplished titles with my dogs in the above sports and love to compete as well.

Learning never ends with dogs, thanks to the technology available today I have had the opportunity to work and troubleshoot with trainers across the world. I have attended seminars both in person and online with some of the top trainers in all different fields including behavior modification, competitive obedience, canine cognition, detection, bitework, tracking and more. I have my canine first aid, certified through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, and have completed multiple courses as well.

Having worked many challenging breeds across different venues, in addition to helping thousands of families with their dogs over the years, my experience crosses many paths that you may find you and your dog on, I'd be happy to help you enjoy your dog more!
